| What CEOs want HR to Know |
In April, Sterling-Hoffman hosted a half-day HR summit in downtown Toronto. We started off the morning with the lecture, What CEOs want HR to know, given by Angel Mehta, CEO of Sterling-Hoffman. An eye opening presentation, Angel’s lecture focused on the opinions CEOs and line managers have of HR, why HR is typically not seen as a necessary force at the strategy table and what HR professionals can do to get noticed and get the respect they deserve.
Following the lecture, a lively panel discussion with Helen Bozinovski, former Senior VP HR at Aviva Canada, John Cardella, VP HR at Ceridian Canada, Scott Goodman, VP HR at Parmalat, and Kerri Smiley, VP HR at Clearstone Central Laboratories, offered interesting insights to attendees questions.
