Responsibilities
Partial Job Description
1) Achieve new service revenue annually through meeting sales-related metrics and acquisition of new business and recognition of contracted revenue
2) Identify new opportunities, develop relationships and execute agreements with assigned accounts based upon the suite of service offerings
3) Manage USA sales region effectively with a customer base of pharmaceutical, biotechnology and academic institutions
4) Ensure that all proposal/contract details, client meetings, RFP information is captured and maintained within designated CRM system
5) Lead for coordinating meetings with internal/external stakeholders/project teams within assigned accounts on account issues from contract development and pricing to project status reports
6) Identify, develop and qualify new sales leads by phone and in person
7) Progress leads through the sales process, including proposal development, contract negotiation and execution of deliverables to client on time
8) Play a central role in defining sales and marketing activities that will grow the business
9) Educate the product development process, feeding information from customers back to the Operational Team
10) Grow and manage the US Sales Team as required
11) Attend identified trade shows and update sales pipeline report
12) Develop and execute key account plans
13) Carry out routine customer visits, maintenance of CRM database and achieve individual sales plan
Requirements
Qualifications / Skills Required
1) BS or higher degree in a scientific area (Biochemistry, Cellular Biology, etc.)
2) 5 - 10 years of selling experience with the pharmaceutical industry
3) 5 years of experience in interacting with key academic institutions
4) 5 years of sales experience with the CRO or related industry
5) Hands-on protein lab experience desired
