About our client
Our client is a well-established developer and manufacturer of both pharmaceutical and nutritional products. They have a large variety of marketed products and are extremely profitable. Salary

Responsibilities
1) Oversee formulation development, optimization and process development for solid, liquid and semi-solid dosage form of pharmaceuticals and dietary supplements
2) Generate protocols, reports and master batch records
3) Perform scale-up and technology transfer to manufacturing
4) Troubleshoot products while on the manufacturing floor
5) Optimize existing products and/or process
6) Supervise and provide guidance and direction to assigned technicians
7) Assist in selecting and ordering supplies and raw materials
8) Handle bench/lab work of 40% – 50% of time, depending on formulation workload
9) Assist in evaluating new equipment
10) Perform other related duties as required
Requirements
1) Master of Science in Chemistry or a pharmaceutical-related science
2) Doctoral degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry or a related science preferred
3) 7+ years of experience directly related to formulation development, scale-up and manufacturing of pharmaceutical drug products/dietary supplements or equivalent combination of education and experience
4) Experience in working directly on ANDAs and/or NDAs
5) Experience in using design of experiments concepts when developing new formulations
6) Experience in solid dosage forms, including sustained release and oral liquids
7) Good knowledge of GMP related to pharmaceutical manufacturing
8) Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
9) Ability to organize, prioritize and effectively perform concurrent tasks with minimal supervision
10) Strong attention to detail
11) Willingness to work flexible hours
