Position Location Cytogeneticist Technologist California Salary Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience Responsibilities 1) Follow laboratory protocols and procedures 2) Maintain safe work habits and keep work area clean 3) Work closely with a variety of health care professionals 4) Perform cell separation, cell culture, sample processing, FISH analysis, cytogenetics analysis and image analysis 5) Work quickly with meticulous accuracy to ensure the seamless provision of such a crucial role within healthcare 6) Perform other duties as assigned Requirements 1) BS in Life Sciences (Biology, Microbiology, Genetics or Biochemistry) and/or advanced training in a Master’s degree 2) CLS license 3) Level I: Up to 2 years of hospital/lab experience with NCA certification in Cytogenetics and CLS license or eligibility (CA limited) 4) Level II: 3 – 5 year of hospital/lab experience with NCA certification in Cytogenetics and CLS license or eligibility (CA limited) 5) Level III: 5 – 10+ year of hospital/lab experience with NCA certification in Cytogenetics and CLS license (CA limited) 6) Ability to distinguish between red/green colors while performing FISH analysis
