| Responsibilities |
1) Formulate new nutraceutical and dietary supplement products in both solid dose and powder form 2) Optimize the existing formulas and their manufacturing process 3) Scale-up as well as conduct technological transfer of new products to manufacturing 4) Troubleshoot products while on the manufacturing floor 5) Review data generated by other formulators, chemists and technicians 6) Conduct product transfers from other facilities 7) Participate in the new product selection committee 8) Provide technical support to customer service department including interaction with the customer 9) Work with customer service department to develop product quotes |
| Requirements |
1) BS/MS in Chemistry, Nutraceutical or pharmaceutical-related sciences 2) Minimum 5 years of experience directly related to formulation development, scale-up and manufacturing of dietary/nutraceutical supplement products 3) Experience in handling of heavy equipment, potentially hazardous materials 4) Strong communication skills (written and verbal) 5) Good knowledge of GMP related to pharmaceutical manufacturing 6) Knowledge of the nutritional functions of vitamins, minerals, botanicals and other ingredients used in all types of dietary supplements 7) Ability to organize, prioritize and effectively perform concurrent tasks with minimal supervision 8) Strong attention to detail 9) Willingness to work in flexible shifts |
