Our client is a growing medical device company headquartered in Massachusetts that is focused on the development and commercialization of innovative therapies for vascular disease. Position Location
Senior Clinical Science Liaison Massachusetts
Salary
Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
Responsibilities
1) Serve as a scientific ambassador and market developer, for the company, to physicians and other healthcare professionals
2) Develop relationships with these communities and educate them about the disease states, as well as about the company’s novel products
3) Execute a strategy to develop the interventional oncology clinical application based on a plan approved by the company’s Operating
4) Ensure a presence in targeted key oncology accounts, success in targeted accounts based on clinical study objectives, registry enrollment, competitive conversions, market adoption, etc.
5) Work with associated functions; e.g., Marketing, Sales
6) Develop and maintain strong working relationships with medical experts in both academic and community settings, interventional radiologists, oncologists, etc.
7) Disseminate scientific information to physicians, nurses, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals on state-of-the-art research and medical concepts in interventional radiology, consultant programs and one-to-one peer exchange
8) Provide medical and scientific expertise to other departments
9) Represent the company at specific continuing-education events/programs, medical meetings and conventions
10) Facilitate and establish research opportunities between the company and clinical investigators
11) Provide the Sales force with training at national and regional levels
12) Utilize scientific resources to deliver strong presentations in a variety of different settings
13) Understand and operate within appropriate legal and regulatory guidelines
Requirements
1) Undergraduate degree in Life Sciences
2) RN with CRN certification or AART with CVIR certification or advanced college degree (master’s degree, Pharm. D., MD, Ph. D.)
3) Minimum 3 – 6 years of proven success as a Medical/Clinical Science Liaison
4) Specialty disease experience strongly preferred
5) 4 – 8+ years of experience (preferred) in a drug delivery, medical device, biotech, specialty pharmaceutical company
6) Angio suite experience
7) Deep understanding of legal and regulatory environment for Clinical Science Liaison
8) Adept at project management and attainment of goal deadlines
9) Strong knowledge of oncology
10) Highly developed interpersonal skills and teamwork
11) Strong, adaptable communicator with an educational and patient-focused approach
12) Self-motivated individual who thrives on challenges
13) Strong time-management and organizational skills
14) Ability to work as a member of a team to accomplish goals
15) Energetic, flexible, enthusiastic and highly motivated individual
16) Ability to maintain a high level of ethical and compliancy standards
17) Willingness and ability to travel (up to 80%) – includes periodic national, regional meetings and international conferences
