About our client
Our client is a pharmaceutical manufacturer headquartered in MD with manufacturing facilities in MN. They focus on producing OTC and prescription drugs.
Position Location
Manager, Customer Service Baudette, Minnesota
Salary
Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
Responsibilities
1) Manage sales activities of the organization, including implementing strategic sales plans, forecasting, scheduling and market analysis
2) Develop and implement strategic sales plans to address customer requirements
3) Direct sales forecasting activities and set goals
4) Provide data and sales forecasts to materials for production scheduling and material requirements
5) Assist sales in reviewing or performing market analysis to determine customer needs, price schedules and discount rates
6) Direct staffing, training and performance evaluations to develop and improve the inside sales function
7) Provide sales statistics to National Accounts Director/Manager to formulate policy in promoting sales
8) Coordinate liaison between sales, materials, quality and manufacturing management and other personnel
9) Analyze and controls expenditures of the department to conform to budgetary requirements
10) Assist other departments within the organization to prepare or distribute manuals, product brochures and technical publications
11) Manage overall direction, coordination and evaluation
12) Assist Sales in preparing periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales and areas of proposed client base expansion
13) Assist Sales on new product research, customer requirements and market trends
14) Manage and direct inside sales personnel
15) Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws
16) Plans, assigns and directs the work of subordinates
17) Manage projects
18) Perform other duties as assigned/requested
Requirements
1) Bachelor’s degree Sales and Marketing or other related degree
2) 5 – 7 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
3) Experience in customer service orientation, data affinity, planning and organizing, compliance, process facilitation as well as project and process management
4) Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations
5) Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
6) Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, managers, clients, customers and the general public
7) Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area circumference and volume
8) Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
9) Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exits
10) Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatical or schedule form
11) Ability to make decisions independently after appropriate input from areas that will be affected
12) Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
13) Ability to perform under stressful situations
14) Previous pharmaceutical industry experience
15) Ability to work with integrity
16) Superb communication, presentation, decision-making and problem-solving skills
17) Innovative individual with ability to keep on learning continuously
18) Good leadership and strategic-thinking skills
19) Ability to affect change leadership and change management
20) Ability to coach, consult and develop others
21) Willingness to travel
