Responsibilities
1) Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Clinical Research will be the key driving force in growing the company’s clinical trial services business. This position will have responsibility for development of the client base as well as direction of support operations for clinical trials being run on behalf of newly acquired sponsors
2) Direct all operations for the Clinical Research division including sales and business development as well as functions related to the successful completion of client projects in a cost-effective and timely manner, such as clinical project management
3) Take a leadership role in strategic planning and tactical execution of growth and cost control initiatives as it relates to the Clinical Research division, including preparation and implementation of annual budgets
4) Continue to establish the company as the leader in clinical trial services for sponsors developing specific therapies in the organization’s areas of expertise via visibility at appropriate industry conferences and profitable networking with premier subject matter experts
5) Encourage communication and efficient cooperation across departments and company sites
6) Maintain full compliance with regulatory requirements as they apply to operations of the Clinical Research Division
7) Ensure that the Clinical Research Division maintains a qualified, well-trained staff
Requirements
1) At least 10 years of experience managing overall operations and P&L for a Clinical Research Organization, including acquisition of new customers
2) Must have experience in trials related to sleep disorders or the development of CNS therapies
3) Expertise in the regulatory environment as it relates to the outsourced clinical research services sector
4) Strong hands-on managerial and leadership skills
5) Well organized, action oriented team player
