About our client
Our Client is a global life science company that develops and manufactures in vitro diagnostic products for immunology therapies. Their flagship product was commercialized in 2002. It allows clinical researchers to simply measure immune cell function. Our Client boasts a management team with extensive experience in developing, manufacturing, marketing and distributing medical diagnostic products. Position Location
Business Development Manager Home-Based in San Francisco, CA
Salary
Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
Responsibilities
1) Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales goals for the customers within an assigned geographical territory
2) Determine revenue opportunities at each center within assigned territory and develop and execute a strategic account plan for each. Prioritize utilization of resources and Company personnel to maximize growth and profitability of assigned territory
3) Develop and implement account plans to generate or increase the utilization of our products, which should include: identification of account opportunities to increase product sales, establishment of a priority call cycle, identification of key account personnel and establishment strong relationships. Account plans should be updated and enhanced on a routine basis
4) Maintains complete, accurate and concise records of sales activities and provides updates to sales management on key issues, marketing opportunities, and knowledge of market intelligence
5) Understand the transplant process and subsequent care of the patient, how to best position products throughout the process, and how to best utilize resources to meet or exceed customer expectations
6) Play an active role within the transplant industry on a local, regional, and (if requested) national level in conjunction with other departments to include Customer Care, Medical Affairs, and Marketing
7) Continually work to improve industry and product knowledge through self initiated development activities, attendance at local meetings and seminars, and other regional and national programs or trade shows as determined by Company management
Requirements
1) Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or business and 5 years of medical device, diagnostic, or biotech sales experience in a clinical hospital environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience
2) Working knowledge of transplantation, infectious disease, general immunology, diagnostics, and laboratory functions preferred. Ability to develop and demonstrate proficiency required
3) Demonstrated successful sales experience
4) Working knowledge of Microsoft office
5) Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
6) Employee will maintain home office in the San Francisco area plus travel as required (up to 75%) to meet goals and objectives Territory is - WA, CA, NV, OR, CO
