About our client
Our Client is a global life science company that develops and manufactures in vitro diagnostic products for immunology therapies. Their flagship product was commercialized in 2002. It allows clinical researchers to simply measure immune cell function. Our Client boasts a management team with extensive experience in developing, manufacturing, marketing and distributing medical diagnostic products. This is an exciting opportunity for the right individual to join a fast paced business.
Position Location
Medical Science Liason Home-Based in TX or CA
Salary
Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
Responsibilities
1) Establish, enhance and maintain scientific relationships with the key opinion leaders (KOL’s), researchers, transplant coordinators, laboratory managers, and other members of the scientific community
2) Communicate and reinforce the clinical utility and scientific value of products and the clinical application of immune function testing
3) Provide timely and relevant updates, scientific support and responses to scientific or medical inquires related to products in conjunction with the Acting Director, Medical Affairs
4) Analyze, interpret, and clarify product results for scientific and medical publications and in connection with on-going studies and trials in coordination with clinicians and the Acting Director, Medical Affairs
5) Interact regularly with senior product and clinical management for strategic development issues related to the scientific and clinical utility of the product
6) Assist with the design of clinical study protocols
7) Provide scientific support at medical meetings
8) Provide management of publications and abstracts
9) Coordinate and participate in scientific advisory board meetings
10) Assist with the identification and recruitment of KOL speakers and educators
11) Provide insight into trends and changes in the use of immunosuppressive therapy, as well as scientific information regarding new therapies and potentially competitive technologies
12) Maintain thorough up to date knowledge of disease state, clinical information, and product data
Requirements
1) Healthcare professional with advanced degree in clinical science (PhD, Pharm D, MD, OMD)
2) Minimum 3 years in a clinical setting with a working knowledge of immunology, infectious disease, and/or transplant
3) Ability to analyze, interpret and evaluate clinical data and clinical scenarios
4) Leadership skills and ability to effectively manage projects and timelines
5) Knowledge of FDA, other regulatory agency and professional requirements, regulations and guidance travel up to 80%
