About our client
Our client is a privately owned contract research organization headquartered in Connecticut that is a leader in the Neuroimaging field. Director of Data Management New Haven, Connecticut
Salary

Responsibilities
1) Oversee the operations of the Data Management Department including management of existing databases, identification and development of new data systems, data input, etc.
2) Development of data management plans and identification/customizing database systems for new studies as they are developed
3) Work closely with chemistry, pre-clinical/clinical directors and project managers to identify/develop efficient data systems as well as accurate use and training of data systems
4) Ensure data integrity (including 21 CRF Part 11 compliance where applicable) of research data, software and reports
5) Prepare data components for regulatory and/or client submissions
6) Ensure timely and accurate data extraction/reporting for both standard and ad-hoc reporting needs for Internal Research Team as well as clients
7) Analyze and standardize the collection, validation, coding and storage of study data to maximize efficiency as well as integrity
8) Ensure timely processing and validation of study data
9) Assess staff needs, monitor work-flow and staff performance to meet company goals
10) Identify resource needs and participation in the hiring process for a department of 3 staff members
Requirements
1) Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Biological, Medical or Computer Science with experience equivalent to a Master’s degree
2) Minimum 7 years of experience in data management with advanced SQL experience
3) Recent experience in both hands-on data manipulation (such as development of data reporting/extraction tools) and management of Data Management staff
4) Knowledge of relational databases and experience using multiple clinical data management systems
5) Strong understanding of clinical trial documents (protocols, source documents, CRFs, study reports) and processes
6) Proficiency in database development and data extraction tools such as SAS programming
