Position Location
Director of Marketing Lakewood, Colorado
Salary
Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
Responsibilities
1) Act as the subject area expert for new product lines globally
2) Oversee the development and execution of global/local marketing and sales strategies for new lines
3) Ensure alignment and linkage with other business areas for marketing strategies
4) Oversee financial planning and projections for revenues (units and pricing) and functional costs including strategic and annual plans, projections, etc.
5) Perform tasks for achieving projections
6) Ensure compliance with all company and corporate standards, policies, legal requirements, etc.
7) Partner with corporate marketing on marketing processes, such as product maps, commercialization plans, etc.
8) Prepare product management strategies
9) Lead market launches of new products and product enhancements from a global perspective
10) Oversee development of global value proposition and significant input into required marketing claims
11) Oversee development of health economic benefits
12) Collaborate with Research, Development and Operations to develop, design and deliver successful products
13) Oversee development of product pricing requirements by geography and product, collaborating with corporate sales and marketing
14) Define and support translation requirements
15) Design and conduct all market research of global impact or trends
16) Support business development activities including research of opportunities, evaluation of financial benefits and negotiations in some cases, etc.
17) Design and lead global marketing communications for BA, linking when appropriate with corporate marketing
18) Define and lead collection of market intelligence on new lines worldwide as well as all possible competing technologies and products
Requirements
1) Degree (4 year) with a concentration in Marketing/Business
2) Ph. D./MBA in a strong scientific/technical background a plus
3) 2+ years of Director-level marketing experience in the medical device industry
4) 7 – 10 years of sales/marketing experience on a global scale
5) International product-launch experience
6) Substantial experience and proven success in introducing novel, highly technical products into global markets
7) Successful track record in marketing with international diagnostics or a medical device company
8) People management experience
9) Business deal experience (licensing, grants, mergers & acquisitions, etc.) a plus
10) Ability to manage individuals and teams
11) Willingness to travel primarily to EMEA and US (up to 50%)
