About our client
Our client is a rapidly growing medical device company headquartered in Pennsylvania that is focused on the development and marketing of cutting-edge immunoassay diagnostic kits. Position Location
Manufacturing Director – Immunoassays State College, Pennsylvania
Salary
Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
Responsibilities
1) Oversee the design/process of all aspects of multiple immunoassay plate production for various immunoassay kits
2) Perform in-process testing and performance verification of all components
3) Investigate production failures on non-conforming products
4) Maintain and control inventory and stock checks
5) Prepare/maintain production procedures to comply with current practices and required quality standards
6) Procure, calibrate and maintain production equipment
7) Comply with set housekeeping, safety and environmental standards and regulations within the department
8) Analyze production specifications and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes, tools and manpower requirements
9) Draw-up master schedules/plans to establish sequence and lead-time of each operation to meet shipping dates as per sales forecast or customer orders
10) Alter operation schedules to meet customer demands
11) Manage production personnel by recruiting, selecting, orienting and providing training for employees
12) Set guidelines/formats for production workers to operate under
13) Confer with other departmental supervisors to determine the status of various projects/operations
15) Direct/approve designs and modifications in the production operation
16) Plan the sequence of manufacturing operations for guidance of production workers
17) Prepare/review production reports/data
18) Confer/collaborate with other members of Management representing the position and concerns of manufacturing/production
Requirements
1) BS or higher degree
2) 8 – 10 years of experience in medical device production (diagnostic kits highly preferred)
3) Strong working knowledge of immunoassay science
4) Experience with liquid handling systems (Oyster Bay or equivalent)
5) Ability to scale-up production and work independently
6) Ability to focus and prioritize workload along with an eye for detail
7) Superb leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills
8) Excellent communication (written and oral) skills
9) Responsible and reliable individual
