The company focuses on the design, development and manufacturing of solutions to improve the safety, delivery and effectiveness of patient healthcare. Their last year’s annual sales hit $2.6B and they currently have 14,000 employees worldwide. In 2007, they became the world leader in specialty generic injectable pharmaceuticals.

Salary
Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
Responsibilities
1) Provide technical leadership to company's direct staff in developing complex protein and carbohydrate products
2) Assess the technical challenges for new programs
3) Prepare detailed development plans
4) Lead the company staff to meet the project's development goals
5) Serve on the Core Program Team
6) Maintain effective cross-functional communication and coordinate activities with other functional areas
Requirements
1) Ph. D.
2) Minimum 6 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with expertise in developing natural-sourced biological or biotechnology-derived products
3) Expertise in the analysis and characterization of carbohydrates and proteins
4) Familiarity with IND, NDA and BLA submission requirements as well as knowledge of GMP and GLP guidelines
5) Excellent communication skills (verbal and written )
6) Ability to work in cross-functional teams and maintain project schedules on multiple programs 7) Ability to understand the impact of manufacturing processes on the products
