Our client is based in Los Angeles, California. They formulate and supply nutritional supplements. The company was founded in 1977 and incorporated in 1988. Today it markets its products in the United States, Mexico, Canada and throughout the world. Their products include vitamins, minerals and probiotics to name a few. The company’s professional staff is actively involved in clinical studies and in working with researchers from universities, institutes and other academic environments around the world. Position Location
Quality Control/Quality Assurance Associate Los Angeles, California
Salary
Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
Responsibilities
1) Provide support to Research and Development department and staff, including EVP, directors, QC/QA, Marketing, Production and international departments
2) Develop SOPs for GMP implementation in dietary supplements
3) Monitor the practice of GMP requirements and adherence to SOPs
4) Develop and monitor internal quality audit programs
5) Monitor AER or other QC-related product complaints
6) Participate in regulatory agency inspections and vendor auditing
7) Maintain QC/QA and scientific documentation of raw materials and finished products
8) Assist in reviewing, approving and releasing raw materials and finished products
9) Perform any other related duties (as required)
Requirements
1) BS or a higher degree
2) Experience in GMP implementation in the dietary supplement industry
3) Familiarity with quality control tasks and procedures
4) Good analytical, technical, observation and documentation skills
5) Excellent work ethics
6) Good project management skills
7) Superb communication (verbal and written) skills
8) Good interpersonal and team skills
9) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook
10) Self-starter with ability to multi-task and prioritize
