About our client

Position Location
Analyst 1 Microbiologist Walkersville, Maryland
Salary
Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
Responsibilities
1) Support Aseptic Process Validations (APVs) by performing environmental monitoring (EM), screening and counting fill-samples and completing APV-related documentation
2) Support cleaning validations by performing environmental monitoring and completing related documentation
3) Perform EM for routine procedures
4) Execute plate enumeration
5) Perform water sampling
6) Assist with lab maintenance (stocking, ordering, trash removal, equipment cleaning, sweeping, etc.)
7) Perform assays such as growth promotion qualification and bioburdens
8) Perform data entry
9) Oversee maintenance of quality systems and cGMP compliance for the business by ensuring that all team members comply with processes, procedures and instructions for all activities in which the team participates
10) Maintain knowledge of and comply with all pertinent safety policies, rules and regulations
11) Ensure that all team members comply with safety rules and regulations
Requirements
1) BS in Biology, Microbiology or a related discipline or AA degree with 1 – 2 years experience in a related GMP/GLP environment or HS Diploma with 3 – 4 years experience in a related GMP/GLP environment
2) Knowledge of aseptic techniques and ability to gown aseptically
3) Expertise in record keeping and handling multiple projects
4) Good organization skills
5) Superb time management skills
6) Excellent computer skills (MS Office and RenCS)
7) Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
8) Team-oriented individual with ability to work independently with minimal supervision
9) Ability to understand importance of compliance with cGMPs
10) Ability to manage a robust work schedule and function in a fast-paced, changing environment
11) Ability to read, understand and follow SOPs
12) Strong work ethics
