Position Location
Analytical Scientist III Lynchburg, Virginia
Salary
Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
Responsibilities
1) Supervise analytical method development and validation to demonstrate product or material characterization suitability
2) Develop research plans and identify which research techniques and methodologies will be utilized
3) Design, develop and test new products or modify existing products to provide marketing and quality assurance support
4) Prepare samples required for stability studies
5) Assist in preparing batch production and control records for experimental production batches
6) Provide technical support for manufacturing issues related to process and raw materials
7) Maintain current knowledge of technological advances in the field
8) Recommend the purchase of analytical testing equipment and other appropriate materials
9) Remain current on new method development procedures, validation including additional testing and other procedures (as required by regulatory agencies)
10) Liaise with other laboratories and contract manufacturers for developing product processes and testing
11) Provide technical expertise and support to other scientists
12) Attend project team meetings (as required)
13) Provide estimates to project teams and management of time and resources needed to complete company projects
14) Write, review and approve technical reports (as required)
15) Perform other related duties (as required)
Requirements
1) MS with 8 years of hands-on experience in Analytical Chemistry or Ph. D. in Analytical Chemistry with 5 years of experience
2) Excellent technical leadership in separation science
3) Knowledge of FDA procedures and methods
4) Expertise in analytical techniques (HPLC, FTIR, Titration, Viscometry, pH and UV/VIS)
