Position Location Director of Research and Development Texas Salary Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience Responsibilities 1) Lead, coordinate and develop new diagnostic assays or business processes 2) Supervise projects to complete deliverables on time and within budget 3) Perform advanced assessments of core areas and initiate, design, author and execute complex activities and validations 4) Ensure timely creation and appropriate maintenance of lab notebooks and project documentation 5) Handle supervisory tasks including leading project teams 6) Manage staff in foreign offices, particularly India Requirements 1) Degree (4 year) in Life Science 2) Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in a pharmaceutical company 3) Prior management experience (senior level preferred) 4) In-depth understanding of biological/non-biological implantable materials and compounds 5) Working knowledge of principles governing effective management of business functions 6) Ability to interface with all levels of personnel 7) Ability to interact with physicians and derive product concepts by listening carefully and implementing learned information 8) Ability to interface with other departments
