Position Location
Development Engineer Bothell, Washington
Salary
Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
Responsibilities
1) Assemble and characterize parts, components and systems for lasers
2) Create basic design of optical systems
3) Design optical experiments
4) Perform optical measuring and analyze optical data
5) Develop laboratory lasers including optical alignment and beam quality measurements
6) Handle air and water-cooling of diode lasers, optical setups, fiber/diode laser mounting, beam and power testing and characterizing diode and diode pumped solid-state lasers
7) Resolve engineering problems
Requirements
1) BS/MS in Optical Engineering, Physics or a related field with strong focus on practical and theoretical optics
2) Minimum 5 years of technical experience in developing optical systems and lasers (high-tech R&D, product development or manufacturing environment preferred)
3) Superb technical integrity and commitment to project completion
