Position Location Director, Research and Development Ohio Salary Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience Responsibilities 1) Oversee the identification, synthesis and introduction of chemical products in the biotech as well as research market 2) Direct a staff of chemists to develop new products 3) Produce current chemical products for orders 4) Identify potential markets for existing or new chemical products 5) Coordinate product development with respect to specifications, regulatory compliance, chemical handling, cost structure and value to market 6) Interface with customers for technical support, product development and requests for custom 7) Oversee the company's facility and staff in India Requirements 1) Master's degree or Ph. D. in Chemistry 2) Minimum 5 years of proven experience in product development and introduction (biotech market) 3) Working knowledge of organic and analytical chemistry 4) Supervisory experience of technical-based employees 5) Experience in supporting business development efforts, specifically in offshore locations like India 6) Proven track record of chemical product innovation demonstrated through scientific publications and issued patents 7) In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001, cGMP and regulatory guidelines 8) Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) 9) Good time-management skills
