About our client
Our client is an expanding development-stage biopharmaceutical company with cutting-edge technology in the area of large molecule delivery systems. With an experienced management team and an established set of large pharma partners, this is a high-visibility position that will expose the right candidate to some of the most intriguing programs in the life sciences sector.

Scientist, Immunoassay New York
Salary
Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
Responsibilities
1) Develop and validate (independently) robust immunoassays from scratch, for determining new chemical entities in various matrices including buffers and biological fluids
2) Document (clearly and accurately) all experimentation in laboratory notebooks, method summaries and validation reports
3) Evaluate and validate (independently) commercially available bioassays (ELISA, RIA and IRMA) kits as well as their suitability for application in various projects
4) Conduct quantitative analysis of pre-clinical in-vivo samples in support of pharmacokinetic studies designed to assist in evaluation of proof-of-concept, carrier screenings and formulation development
5) Supervise the Bioanalytical Group as well as train staff on relevant assays and instruments
6) Collaborate and communicate with internal departments and scientists as well as CROs and external partners on methods and report issues
7) Calibrate and maintain laboratory instrumentation (as necessary)
8) Follow all relevant safety policies and procedures
Requirements
1) MS in Immunology, Biology, Biochemistry or a related field with 7 years of experience/Ph. D. with minimum 3 years of experience
2) Practical experience in testing, developing and validating commercial as well as custom immunoassays in a wide range of formats
3) Supervisory experience along with leadership skills
4) Superb communication skills (written and oral)
