Position Location
Quality Assurance Engineer Naples, Florida
Salary
Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
Responsibilities
1) Support the Quality Manager with quality related support for the life cycle development of Class I, II and III medical devices including new product development as well as maintenance of released products
2) Work with suppliers to improve quality and assist (as necessary) with supplier process validations
3) Train and/or assist QC Manager in the training of QC inspectors on inspection techniques as well as the use of new equipment
4) Participate in internal and external quality audits as directed by the Quality Assurance Manager
5) Design and develop methods as well as tooling for the test and inspection of articles
6) Maintain vendor files in accordance with established procedures and SOPs
7) Write and/or assist in the writing of test and inspection SOPs
8) Assist with complaint investigations as related to product quality
9) Compile and report on vendor performance statistics
10) Act as a substitute for absent QC technicians and the Document Control Specialist (as directed by the QA Manager)
11) Review design drawings for tolerancing, inspectability and quality of design issues
12) Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
1) Bachelor’s degree
2) Minimum 3 years of experience in a Quality Control/Quality Assurance position preferred
3) Knowledge of testing equipment, statistical methods and control plans
4) Proficient in computers and programs especially Excel, Word (or equivalent if changed by the company) and QAD
