Position Location Director of Clinical Operations Northeastern US Salary Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience Responsibilities 1) Provide strategic and tactical planning within Clinical Operations to achieve completion of projects on time and within budget 2) Manage and direct daily activities of all Clinical Operations personnel to meet the company’s objectives 3) Plan and implement all components of Phase I – IV clinical trials from study initiation through final integrated statistical study report 4) Ensure Clinical Development teams have clear goals, objectives and milestones consistent with corporate objectives 5) Maintain effective communication with senior management, so that they are aware at all times of critical issues confronting the projects and action plans that have been put in place 6) Direct the growth and development of the Clinical Operations Department 7) Hire, train, develop and manage all staff 8) Initiate and manage clinical trials, resource projections and departmental budgets 9) Establish clinical operations infrastructure, including documentation, clinical trial management systems and clinical database platforms Requirements 1) Bachelor’s degree in Science (Master’s degree a plus) 2) Minimum 5 – 7 years of experience in clinical trials, including at least 2 – 3 years of management experience 3) Experience in working in both pharmaceutical and contract research organization environment 4) Experience in managing overseas staff in India
