About our client
Our client is an acute care specialty pharma company based in San Diego. They specialize in a technology that provides sustained-release delivery of medications for post-surgical pain. Our client has two marketed products that are used by professionals in the healthcare industry. Position Location
Senior Manager/Manager (Quality Control) San Diego, California
Salary
Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
Responsibilities
1) Provide management and leadership to the QC Department in establishing and maintaining a system that will promote and ensure product quality
2) Build and lead a team having excellent scientific training as well as an understanding of cGMPs and international regulatory requirements
3) Provide in-depth review of data, reports and documents to ensure accuracy is maintained and high quality documents are produced
4) Communicate and interact effectively with Manufacturing, QA, Regulatory Affairs and R&D to ensure systematic flow of samples and analytical results
5) Maintain trended test results for all commercial products as well as raw materials’ initial release and commercial product stability tests
6) Oversee method technology transfers internally and to outside laboratories
7) Work closely with other Operations, QA, Regulatory Affairs and R&D groups (as required)
Requirements
1) BS in Analytical Chemistry or related field
2) 8 years of relevant pharmaceutical industry experience
3) Managerial and leadership experience in a cGMP commercial environment, involving multiple products
4) Excellent planning and execution skills
5) Good organizational skills
6) Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills
7) Superb technical writing and editing skills
8) Proficient in computers (word processing, spreadsheet, scientific data graphing, etc.)
9) Ability to manage multiple responsibilities
10) Highly self-motivated individual
