About our client Our client is a leading laboratory that provides testing services ordered by doctors to help diagnose, treat, and monitor their patients. Position Location Medical Lab Technologist (MLT) Montreal, Quebec Salary Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience Responsibilities 1) Perform all testing required, according to established protocol 2) Oversee operation of the Advia 1800 in Biochemistry and the Sysmex analyzer in Hematology (after training) 3) Perform all required QC 4) Maintain all records and charts 5) Take corrective action (as required) 6) Maintain client confidentiality 7) Observe and execute all laboratory safety and security policies as well as regulations 8) Maintain knowledge of WHIMIS 9) Assist in problem solving related to workflow and provide inputs (as required) Requirements 1) Registered MLT with current OPTMQ registration 2) Experience in chemistry and hematology a plus 3) Knowledge of computers an asset 4) Excellent problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and continuous-improvement skills 5) Flexible and adaptable with ability to work within a team as well as independently 6) Willingness to work day and evening shift on weekdays as well as weekends (up to 22:30)
