About our client

Position Location
Associate Medical Director West Coast
Salary
Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
Responsibilities
1) Provide clinical expertise and handle approval of clinical protocols, clinical study-related documents as well as clinical study reports
2) Lead the development and execution of the post-approval clinical program in response to regulatory commitments and brand strategy
3) Provide medical leadership of brand-related medical information as well as detail aids, clinical communications, publications and medical information
4) Support key medical marketing messages in partnership with commercial, regulatory, and clinical affairs for post-approval clinical program
5) Provide training (medical/scientific) to all relevant internal (marketing, sales, medical information, etc.) and external parties (e.g. speaker training) regarding the brand
6) Work closely with the Commercial Team to help build awareness of products in the medical community
7) Provide clinical leadership in interactions with key opinion leaders, advisory boards and patient advocacy groups
8) Cultivate key opinion leader relationships
9) Provide support for the publication strategy and active involvement in the development of publications
10) Support the communication of scientific and medical information, especially presentation of key data to the medical community via advisory boards, national and international meetings, etc.
11) Provide clinical leadership in the evaluation and management of investigator-initiated proposals as well as the development of a process
Requirements
1) MD/DO with board certification or equivalent
2) 2+ years of experience in a clinical or industry environment
3) Dermatology training and medical marketing experience a plus
4) Understanding of strategic marketing (acquired by experience or formal training)
5) Ability to work well in cross-functional teams
6) Ability to form credible relationships with national opinion leaders
7) Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
8) Proficient in computers (MS Word and PowerPoint)
9) Keen attention to detail
10) Excellent planning (time and project management) skills
11) Strong interpersonal, negotiation and problem-solving skills
12) Willingness to travel – up to 20%
