About our client
Our client is a privately held biopharmaceutical company focused on auditory drug development. This is an ideal opportunity to become involved in cutting-edge technology in the biotechnology industry.
Position Location
Director of Clinical Operations Seattle, Washington
Salary
Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
Responsibilities
1) Oversee client interaction
2) Define and manage project requirements, deliverables, schedule adherence and budgets
3) Monitor resource needs and manage staff
4) Promote SOP and policy compliance as well as use of tools and metrics
5) Manage consistency of project management and clinical monitoring regarding project requirements, deliverables, schedules and budgets
6) Ensure that projects are adequately staffed with personnel and resources
7) Meet high quality standards
8) Oversee development and maintenance of operations and procedure manuals, work guidelines, department metrics and project tools
9) Coordinate training and educational programs to ensure that the staff is trained (as needed)
10) Monitor departmental billable percentages
11) Promote operational efficiency, teamwork and high morale
12) Assist with Operations’ meetings and directives to improve departmental as well as corporate policies and procedures
13) Make presentations and represent the company in professional meetings and in front of prospective as well as existing clients
14) Manage personnel activities and provide guidance to staff for professional development
15) Coordinate resource distribution across projects, interviews, make hiring recommendations, lead disciplinary actions, deliver performance reviews, etc.
16) Perform other tasks as assigned
Requirements
1) MA (or higher) in Life Sciences
2) 10+ years of progressive clinical research experience
3) 2 years of experience in working as a Director of Clinical Operations for a small biotechnology company
4) Hands-on experience in regulatory filings
5) Excellent communication and presentation skills
