About our client
Our client is a rapidly growing biopharmaceutical company headquartered in Massachusetts that is focused on the development of therapeutics for diabetes. The company has an experienced management team, many proof-of-concept tests and an empowering corporate culture that is focused on the long-term professional development of its employees. The firm is currently recruiting a Research Associate/Associate Scientist to join its Product Development Team in Beverly, MA.
Position Location
Research Scientist (In-Vivo Pharmacology) Beverly, Massachusetts
Salary
Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
Responsibilities
1) Handle multiple projects simultaneously
2) Design, oversee and execute experiments to test the safety and efficiency of insulin formulations
3) Develop test protocols and actively participate in their execution
4) Analyze test data
5) Prepare results for presentation to other scientists and managers
6) Help select and supervise outside contractors
Requirements
1) MS, Ph. D. or Pharm. D. in Pharmacology, Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering or a related field
2) 2 – 3 years of experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology in-vivo setting
3) Experience in experimental work with live mouse and/or rat models (additional experience in working with large animal models preferred)
4) Experience in and knowledge of designing, implementation and analysis of safety, pharmacologic, pharmacokinetic as well as toxicological studies
5) Desire to perform hands-on PK/ADME experiments using glucose clamp techniques
6) Highly motivated and creative individual eager to be a key member of the Science Team in developing an important new therapeutic
7) Ability to understand regulatory requirements for animal testing
8) Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment
