Salary

Responsibilities
1) Lead the interactions between the Adult Endocrinology medical community with respect to the company’s products in the field
2) Develop advisory boards of physicians and nurses
3) Work with key opinion leaders to facilitate publication and presentation of studies, data and educational programs
4) Liaise between the company and external clients in the medical community
5) Identify, develop and foster collaborative relationships with current and future thought leaders in endocrine care
6) Act as the Medical Monitor for Phase IV studies of company products
7) Provide a variety of programs and services to healthcare providers, educators and researchers
8) Liaise between physicians, nurses and medical affairs regarding existing research programs
9) Serve as a resource for Scientist-to-Scientist discussions about new and existing products developed by the company
10) Identify and assist (proactively and as needed) in the facilitation of investigator-sponsored clinical trials
11) Ensure awareness and understanding in the medical/scientific community about the company’s products
12) Disseminate cutting-edge information as well as conduct and support medical education programs regarding therapeutic programs and emerging products (keeping within regulatory and company guidelines)
13) Partner with Clinical Development, Sales and Marketing, and Drug Information Services to ensure accurate delivery of medical and scientific information
14) Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the company to provide medical/scientific expertise and marketplace feedback
15) Lead/participate on project teams as necessary/appropriate
16) Manage budgets effectively for clinical grants and medical education support activities
17) Develop the medical component of sales training (in support of MSL and Sales Force education)
18) Interpret medical clinical safety data related to company products
19) Convene various advisory boards
20) Review all company product-related drug information and medical writing, including scientific abstracts and publications
21) Provide extramural medical and sales support (grand rounds and scientific presentations at selected institutions, key opinion leader visitation)
22) Assist the Marketing Team in evaluating markets, devising suitable strategies for penetrating markets, etc.
23) Review every product-related corporate communications material (as requested)
24) Appraise all Investigator-Sponsored Trial (IST) proposals
25) Review regulatory submissions
26) Author the clinical portion of regulatory documents (as requested)
27) Hire talented staff and manage effective performance, by providing feedback, coaching and development opportunities
28) Act in accordance with company values
29) Build relationships actively (within and across functions)
30) Motivate and empower people to make decisions and meet their commitments.
31) Promote honesty and integrity within the company
Requirements
1) MD with experience in the pharmaceutical industry (adult endocrinology preferred) or Ph. D./Pharm. D. with 8 – 10 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry
2) Previous management/leadership experience
3) In-depth knowledge of PC and software programs (MS Word and PowerPoint)
4) Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams
5) Superb energy and the desire to work in a fast-changing, intense (but fun) working environment
6) Superb collaboration and influencing skills
7) Excellent management and organizational skills
8) Ability to make sound judgments
9) Ability to interact easily with all levels within the organization
10) Ability to communicate effectively with scientific professionals in a way that commands respect
