| Responsibilities |
1) Serve as the lead technical resource in translating developmental chemistry into production-level processes 2) Work across organizational, customer, supplier and geographic lines 3) Ensure production processes are safe, efficient, effective and capable as well as aligned with their original chemical design and intent 4) Act as the process owner for global production chemistry 5) Liaise between international operations, contract manufacturers and Chemical Development staff |
| Requirements |
1) BS/MS in Chemistry 2) 7 – 15 years of process chemistry experience (international experience strongly preferred) 3) Working experience in cross-functional teams (Chemistry and Engineering) 4) Experience in manufacturing preferred 5) Experience in specialty chemicals a plus 6) Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills with an emphasis on documenting process chemistry, plant-level analytical test methods and operating procedures 7) Excellent project-management skills 8) Ability to work in a dynamic, growing, start-up environment, to multi-task as well as readily accept change 9) Ability to solve problems at the highest level 10) Ability to work with diverse customers, partners and teammates towards a constructive end 11) Ability to work effectively in a team-setting as well as independently 12) Ability to appreciate and adapt to different cultures in work and social environments 13) Ability to ensure that chemical handling and other safety standards are developed, implemented and maintained 14) Superb customer/client service orientation with keen attention to detail 15) Proactive, go-getter with a positive attitude and good listening skills 16) Valid passport along with the ability to obtain US and international travel visas 17) Willingness to travel – up to 50% (domestic and international for extended periods of time, as needed) |
