About our client
Our client is a rapidly growing pharmaceutical company headquartered in Montreal that is focused on the manufacturing and distribution of various generic brand therapeutics. Position Location
Manager, Research and Development (Analytical Development) Montreal, Quebec
Salary
Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
Responsibilities
1) Oversee the activities of a group comprising analytical method development and validation, specifications, and analytical technology transfer and troubleshooting, within a research and development environment
2) Provide technical guidance on complex analytical development issues
3) Resolve any analytical development issues raised by the government authorities
4) Approve all analytical documents
5) Manage the priorities for all analytical development activities
6) Act as the analytical development representative in various corporate activities like particle size, third party projects, 21 CFR part 11, LIMS, etc.
7) Recommend continuous improvement initiatives concerning the analytical development group
Requirements
1) Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry/Biochemistry
2) 8 – 11 years of pertinent experience in the pharmaceutical industry specializing in pharmaceutical analytical development and analysis
3) Minimum 3 years of supervisory/management experience
4) In-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical environment, including GLP and GMP principles
5) Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
6) Good computer skills with emphasis on familiarity with MS-Office
7) Exceptional analytical skills and ability to be a team player
8) Superb interpersonal, decision-making, and organizational skills
9) Excellent communication skills in English and French (written and spoken)
