Position Location
Project Manager, Research and Development Southern California
Salary
Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
Responsibilities
1) Provide business and technical leadership for major new products or services
2) Manage projects and lead the Project Team through implementation process
3) Provide financial analysis, including market research, cash flow, capital and program positioning
4) Develop and negotiate contracts along with establishing and leading cross-functional product development teams
5) Act as the focal point for divisional senior management program communication
6) Interact with and influence the senior internal and external stakeholders
7) Provide input in the program prioritization process and participate in other key strategic business portfolio processes to ensure that the development programs being funded meet the business' strategic objectives
8) Make launch date commitments to businesses based on anticipated cash flows
9) Manage stakeholder expectations with regards to deliverables during development
10) Handle overall project performance and integrate project activities
11) Serve as a liaison with central project management operation in support of further developing project management capabilities across the organization
Requirements
1) Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (Master’s preferred)
2) Minimum 10 years of experience in product development or product commercialization
3) 5+ years of experience in project management
4) Understanding of GMP, GLP and GCP
5) Familiarity with PMI or IPMA, project management methodology
6) Strong financial and business acumen
7) Demonstrated leadership characteristics
