Position Location
Maintenance Manager Waunakee, Wisconsin
Salary

Responsibilities
1) Manage all maintenance, utilities and security activities for all the shifts (three-shift, seven-day) in the pharmaceutical manufacturing facility
2) Provide leadership and support to Direct Report, including maintenance supervisors and Maintenance Planner
3) Direct completion of corrective and preventative maintenance in accordance with company operating procedures, practices and financial considerations
4) Ensure that buildings, grounds, utilities and equipment are maintained in a safe, operable condition that provides an excellent appearance to clients
5) Manage and coordinate Maintenance and Utilities Department along with facility security
6) Develop and adhere to maintenance and utilities budgets
7) Manage stores and spare part inventories to achieve balance of cost and response time
8) Direct the Maintenance Planner and Storeroom Attendant in the effective use of the CMMS
9) Lead corrective, predictive and preventative maintenance activities
10) Identify opportunities for improvement and implementation of TPM activities
11) Utilize vibration analysis, thermal analysis and other predictive maintenance tools
12) Ensure that Maintenance Team adheres to company operating procedures, cGMPs, established practices and financial considerations
13) Communicate effectively with the Quality Department to ensure compliance with cGMP documentation requirements
14) Implement and review site-specific maintenance logs for each department
15) Provide a summary of maintenance conditions and recommend to the Director of Engineering, Maintenance and EHS
16) Ensure that facilities and grounds are maintained as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)
17) Participate in the development of policies and procedures related to maintenance of facilities, grounds and equipment
18) Identify and participate in training opportunities and seminars relevant to position
19) Ensure that departmental training meets cGMP, OSHA, EPA and other regulatory requirements
20) Provide staff training on a variety of topics, including effective utilization of the maintenance logs
21) Complete routine maintenance that is specific to the facility, equipment operations, fire safety, lockout/tag-out and cGMP considerations
22) Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
1) Bachelor's degree in Engineering (highly preferred)/year-for-year work experience in a similar position
2) Minimum 7 years of (progressively responsible) experience in either managing or supervising maintenance activities
3) Management experience in a manufacturing facility preferred
4) Experience in a cGMP or other regulatory environment preferred
5) Knowledge of methods, materials, tools and practices in building, electrical or mechanical trades as well as occupational hazards and safety precautions of trades
6) Working knowledge of cGMPs
7) Knowledge of plumbing, electricals, construction and air conditioning
8) Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
9) Proficiency in math and reading
10) Ability to handle multiple tasks and direct and evaluate maintenance work performed by others
11) Ability to interpret and follow detailed written instructions, prints, sketches and diagrams
12) Ability to use hand tools
13) Skilled in the use and care of tools and equipment necessary to complete assigned tasks
14) Exceptional communication (oral and written) skills
