Position Location
Director of Clinical Research Memphis, Tennessee
Salary Reports to
Highly competitive package, commensurate with experienceManagement
Responsibilities
1) Manage the department
2) Coordinate and assist with the development and execution of a clinical research strategy to meet current and future business needs
3) Manage Clinical Research personnel and projects (i.e. performance reviews, standards and goals)
4) Provide guidance
5) Represent the company with regard to clinical studies research and lead discussions/negotiations with regulatory authorities, clinicians and internal customers
6) Manage study timelines and budget compliance as well as interface with customers, vendors, consultants and distributors (as needed)
Requirements
1) College degree (4 year) in a medically related field or Engineering
2) Minimum 7 years of experience in clinical research
3) At least 2 years of experience in managing an entire Clinical Research Department (including managed managers)
4) Experience in device preferred
5) Experience in departmental leadership, including working successfully with cross-functional teams
6) Experience in overseeing the activities of clinical managers and supporting staff, alignment of department goals and clinical research strategy with company resources and objectives
7) Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
