Position Location
Biostatistician Chicago, Illinois
Salary Reports to
Highly competitive package, commensurate with experienceManagement
Responsibilities
1) Work with the Project Team to form analysis plans, analyze studies and produce tables and listings for study results
2) Provide statistical support to the Project Team and sponsor by presenting and interpreting statistical results
3) Review and approve Case Report Forms (CRFs)
4) Assist with the Data Preparation Plan
5) Prepare statistical analysis plans based on the study protocol
6) Ensure that the analyses are properly conducted and reported
7) Review the work of programmers to ensure quality of the statistical results
8) Provide guidance to the project team in the verification and documentation of studies
9) Review final reports to ensure that the statistical results and conclusions are correct
Requirements
1) Bachelor’s degree in Statistics (Master’s degree preferred)
2) 2 years of experience as a Bio-statistician working on clinical studies
3) Understanding and ability to perform the process of writing (outlining, drafting, revising and reviewing)
4) Knowledge of general clinical study designs preferred
5) Proficient with software, including, but not limited to SAS, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and Microsoft PowerPoint
6) Ability to adapt to changes in work duties, responsibilities and requirements
7) Detail-orientated, thorough and methodical
8) Ability to do long-range planning and to create and follow timelines
9) Excellent communicator to keep others informed of progress and particularly of changes in status of work
10) Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
11) Ability to interpret and apply statistical techniques
12) Self-starter with an ability to initiate work
13) Excellent organizational skills
14) Good editorial/proofreading skills
15) Excellent communication (written and oral) skills
