About our client
Our client is a dynamic full service CRO specializing in the use of electronic systems for global health research. They currently conduct clinical and health research in almost 40 countries throughout the world in partnerships with global pharmaceutical corporations and biotech companies. Therapeutic areas: Oncology, infectious diseases, kidney diseases, gastroenterology, neurology, etc. The company has an experienced management team, a varied selection of interesting protocols and an empowering corporate culture that is focused on the long-term professional development of its employees.
Position Location
Manager, Clinical Data Management Vancouver, British Columbia
Salary
Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
Responsibilities
1) Manage ongoing operations across a variety of data management projects
2) Ensure completion of all internal/external project milestones and deliverables
3) Participate in the identification, development and implementation of new systems, SOPs, working practices, and technologies for data management activities
4) Ensure the effective support of project infrastructures
5) Present program status issues on a regular basis to senior- and functional-level management
6) Participate in the evaluation and recruitment of new staff
7) Perform line management of staff, including performance reviews and objective setting
8) Provide and supervise departmental training and mentoring
9) Estimate project costs and prepare project plans and resource projections
10) Assist in business development activities
11) Participate in internal and client/sponsor presentations
12) Supervise archiving and records management for the department
13) Oversee clinical coding and dictionary maintenance
14) Manage project data management and study work
15) Oversee technical requirements for EDC, database, and programming
16) Provide leadership according to the industry standards and guidance at a tactical level
17) Ensure that departmental corporate goals are managed and achieved
Requirements
1) Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
2) Minimum 4 years of data management experience in the health science/CRO or pharmaceutical industry
3) Minimum 2 – 3 years of supervisory experience
4) Exposure to electronic data capture and clinical database systems
5) Functional knowledge of ICH/GCP/FDA
6) Exceptional communication skills (oral and written)
7) Professional and polished disposition
