| Responsibilities |
1) Provide input for the design of new research projects and be in charge for the structure and principle oversight of these projects 2) Involve in literature review and interpretation of current research related to the projects 3) Report to the Vice President of R&D and work closely with team members from other functional areas (where applicable) and external partners to achieve the company goals 4) Provide leadership for one or more of the company’s product development programs 5) Ensure that the goals and the timelines of the project are met 6) Lead in searching, reading and interpreting research in the field of his/her project 7) Provide input into future planning efforts for new products by monitoring new scientific developments through literature reviews |
| Requirements |
1) M. D. or Ph. D. degree 2) Experience in a biotechnology/pharmaceutical company with focus in the field of pharmacogenomics, nutrigenomics, biomarkers, or genetic risk assessment testing
3) Experience in epidemiology/genetics of chronic diseases a plus 4) Proven experience in collaboration with outsourced groups and vendors
5) Experience in one or more of therapeutic areas (i.e. diabetes, cardiovascular
disease, osteoporosis or inflammatory diseases) a plus 6) Excellent writing skills 7) Experience with patent applications preferred |
