About our client
Our client is creating a fully integrated company in the biotechnology field focusing on the development and commercialization of a new technology. Their surfactant replacement therapies have prospective applications across the respiratory field. The company’s new technology is the base for its manufactured goods platform. Planning to use therapies to treat respiratory diseases, the company initially wants to target premature infants.

Director, Medical Affairs Pennsylvania
Salary
Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
Responsibilities
1) Work under the direction of the Vice President, Worldwide Clinical Research and Development
2) Develop and execute the strategy governing medical affairs activities to be marketed and marketed products, including participation in cross functional teams (i.e. Sales, Marketing, Product Team, R&D and Consultants) to accomplish key corporate goals and objectives
3) Act to capitalize opportunities for symposia and continuing medical education
4) Provide guidance to the medical affairs support at relevant congresses
5) Oversee publication strategy
6) Develop and maintain professional education materials
7) Build and maintain a professional response program
8) Coordinate Phase IV and investigator-initiated research programs
9) Assist in developing and maintaining pharmacovigilance program
10) Oversee company’s healthcare compliance system and ensure that it relates to regulatory, professional association’s guidelines and other legal requirements
Requirements
1) MD/DO with specialty in Pediatrics preferred
2) Experience in neonatology, pulmonology or critical care a plus
3) Minimum 5 years of clinical experience (preferably at an academic institution)
4) Experience in management of pharmaceutical or biotech medical affairs preferred
5) Knowledge of current medical trends and advancements in the area of pediatrics and respiratory medicine
6) Strong communication and analytical skills
7) Ability to work independently and in a team
8) Influence and negotiation skills (written and oral)
9) Superb presentation skills
10) Willingness to travel – up to 40% (domestic and internationally)
