About our client
Our client is the North American division of a dental products manufacturer. The dental implant/bone grafting and endodontics division looks after R&D, manufacturing, distribution, sales and marketing. Founded in the late ‘80s, the company has grown to be regarded as the world’s leading manufacturer and provider of endodontic products and services. Its overall product portfolio includes a number of patent-protected, innovative products with high brand recognition. Since the start of this year, the company has also been representing a high quality implant and bone grafting product line. It is committed to the development of innovative, high-quality, cost-effective new products in its specific area of expertise.
Position Location
Clinical Manager Oklahoma
Salary
Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
Responsibilities
1) Provide clinical review and support to product complaints, MDR analysis/reporting and product-related litigation
2) Maintain knowledge base of current product developments and trends in areas of expertise
3) Provide analyses and summaries of relevant implant and bone grafting papers for Sales, Education, Marketing and R&D use
4) Assist R&D team with customer perspectives related to the clinical and procedural use of implants and bone grafting products
5) Provide technical and clinical advice to doctors placing or restoring implants, bone grafting/augmentation procedures and laboratories fabricating prosthesis
6) Assist in treatment planning stages and troubleshooting
7) Work with the Clinical Research Project Manager for the preparation of study protocols and related documents
8) Evaluate proposed research concepts and protocols for investigator-initiated studies
9) Review marketing materials for clinical accuracy and appropriateness
10) Evaluate and summarize relevant journal articles and abstracts for company use
11) Work with outsourced medical writer to assist KOLs in publishing journal articles
12) Assist in providing training for sales professionals
13) Guide clinical content and hands-on material requirements of Clinical Education (CE) courses related to implants and grafting
14) Perform other duties as requested
Requirements
1) D.D.S. degree and postgraduate training
2) Direct clinical experience with dental implants (surgery and restoration) and grafting
3) Experience in clinical research
4) Familiarity with a medical device regulations and requirements
5) Experience in creating presentations and presenting to small and large groups
6) In-depth knowledge of relevant dental information
7) Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to assigned areas of responsibility
8) General practical knowledge of dentistry procedures
9) Specialized knowledge of implanting, bone grafting/augmentation and root canal therapy procedures
10) Proven clinical analysis skills in relation to new product ideas
11) Ability to troubleshoot clinical procedural problems with clinicians
12) Ability to work in a team environment
13) Proven clinical report writing ability
14) Superb communication skills
15) Ability to create presentations and train clinical groups
16) Willingness to travel
